The basic gown of the period is the chemise - a
shapeless tube with a drawstring neck and waist. During the early
1800's, the neckline lowered, the waistline crept higher and overskirts
and trains were added. These 'douillettes' or coat-dresses were especially
popular in England, where the climate was cooler. #P108 Ivory chemise. Overdress has Juliet sleeves, trimmed neckline and train. Available in Junior, Misses and Womens sizes 3-24 Available with Sky Blue, Pastel Pink, Pastel Green, Royal Blue,
