started a new dance craze with his hit "The Twist", the
first copy machine is introduced, and John Kennedy is
elected President of the United States. A gallon of
gasoline costs 25 cents and at 20 cents, a loaf of bread

Flintstones" shows on TV for the first time, and "The
Magnificent Seven" and "Psycho" drew people to the
movies. Kids played with Huckleberry Hound toys and
baseball was the sport of choice. It was a time of
American prosperity, but trouble was on the horizon.
The first American troops were sent to Vietnam and Americans
were beginning to realize that change was on the way. Women's casual clothing has clean, straight lines and is becoming more comfortable. Pants and shorts are commonplace.
